Loatheb How To
Loatheb should be tanked where he stands. The good news is that he doesn't do much melee damage. A paladin tank is ideal for this fight since Loatheb is undead.
During this fight spores will spawn. They should be killed by melee or ranged as far away from Loatheb as possible. When these spores are killed they will grant a buff. This buff will cause all your spells and abilities to cause no threat, and recieve a huge crit bonus for a few seconds. This is great for the DPS, but terrible for a tank.
Two minutes into this battle Loatheb will start casting Inevitable Doom. This will cause increasing damage to raid members with his every cast. This is the reason this fight is a DPS race. Basically you have to kill him before the Inevitable Doom kills you.
Also during this fight Loatheb will be casting Necrotic Aura. This will block all healing for 17 seconds. He casts this spell every 20 seconds. So that means healers will have a 3 second window for healing. Raid members should do what they can to keep themselves healed dueing this window. Try not to rely on the healers. Use healthstones or pots. You really won't have time to bandage during the 3 second healing window. Cicle of Healing is best for healing in this fight, but you'll need to time it correctly. While Necrotic Aura is up about all the healers can do is DPS.
