Using CasterWeaponSwapper
To begin, you will need at least two weapons: your primary damage or healing weapon, and your spellsurge weapon.
For example, I use a Nathrezim Mindblade enchanted with Major Spellpower and a Gavel of Unearthed Secrets enchanted with Spellsurge. When I upgraded to the Mindblade, I kept my old primary weapon and enchanted it with Spellsurge.

Download and install CasterWeaponSwapper. The newest version can be found on Curse or WOWInterface WOWInterface.
At time of writing, the newest version is 1.91.
To bring up the options window, type /cws.
This is good to remember.... there's no minimap button, so when you need to adjust the options, you will need to bring up this menu.

You will see boxes for 6 sets of weapons. Underneath are four sliders and checkbox options.
High Mana Set
• This is the set you wear out of combat and will start combat with. This is unaffected by your Spellsurge set, and while this set is active, your weapon will not swap to your Spellsurge weapon.
• If you choose to use a high intellect weapon or set, click and drag to place it here. If you have only two weapons (like I do), place your primary damage or healing weapon set here.
Casting Set (Combat only)
• This is your primary casting set
• Click and drag to place your primary damage or healing weapon set here.
Spellsurge Set
• Obviously, this is your Spellsurge set.
• Place your Spellsurge weapon set here. Make sure to check the "Enable" check box.
Low Mana Set
• This is a mana regen or spirit set. This will equip a set of weapons when your mana is low. Like the High Mana set, your Spellsurge set will not equip while this set is active.
• If you have a high spirit or mana regen weapon, place it here. If not, place your primary damage or healing weapon set here.
Druid Bear Set
• For druids, this set will equip when shifting into Bear form.
Druid Cat Set
• For druids, this set will equip when shifting into Cat form.
Here is how I have placed my two weapons:

Now for the sliders. If you use a High Mana Set and/or a Low Mana Set, you can customize at what % of your mana pool your weapons will swap for these sets. You can also set different thresholds for when you are losing mana and when you are gaining mana. Keep in mind, Spellsurge swaps will only occur in combat and when your casting set is active.
If you only use two weapons, you will want Spellsurge swaps to be unaffected by how much mana you have. To do this you will have to "turn off" the High Mana Set and Low Mana Set options. This is done by moving the "High to Cast" and "Cast to High" sliders to 100%, and the "Cast to Low" and "Low to Cast" sliders to 0%.
Here is how the sliders should look for only two weapons:

Now for the checkbox options.
Enable swaps
• Checking this does exactly this, enables swapping. You can turn swapping off for fights when you would rather Spellsurge not equip.
• Check this for now.
Print swaps
• This option will post a message in your chat window when swaps occur and also states what is swapping.
• This is a matter of preference. I keep this checked because I like to see these messages. I might cast certain spells or a haste trinket when I see Spellsurge swap in, to try to make the proc occur as fast as possible.
Post-fight reports
• This option will post a summary in your chat window when combat ends. It has a lot of useful information in the summary, including how long combat lasted, how long each set was equipped and the percent of total combat time it remained equipped, and how many Spellsurge procs occurred from both your weapon and party member weapons.
• This is a matter of preference. I keep this checked because I like to see these summaries to know how effective the enchant is in each fight.
Swap whenever needed when Out of Combat
• Does exactly what it says.
• Keep this checked. If combat ends with your Spellsurge weapon still equipped, it will swap back to your primary weapon or High Mana Set.
