- Patch 4.0.6 Changes - Best DPS Build - Rotation + Video - Glyphs + Enchants - Stats - Reforging - Gems - Tips & Tricks (In This Order!) Patch 4.0.6 Warlock Changes *BELOW* Warlocks Curse of Exhaustion now reduces movement speed by 30%, down from 50%. Its range has been increased to 40 yards, up from 30. Demon Armor and Fel Armor no longer cost mana and last until canceled. Devour (Felhunter) cooldown has been increased to 20 seconds, up from 8. Devour is no longer able to be auto-cast. Drain Mana has been removed from the game. Fear now has a PvP duration of 8 seconds. Fel Armor has been redesigned. It now surrounds the caster with fel energy, increasing spell power and causing the warlock to be healed for 3% of any single-target spell damage he or she deals. Seduction (Succubus) now has a PvP duration of 8 seconds. Talent Specializations Affliction Soul Swap can no longer be dispelled (the aura given to the warlock between swapping). Unstable Affliction's silence effect has been reduced to 4 seconds, down from 5. Demonology Demonic Aegis now increases the healing effect of Fel Armor by 50/100%. Demonic Rebirth now highlights summoning spells when active. Demon Soul: Imp redesigned. It now increases the critical strike chance of all non instant cast Destruction spells by 30%, rather than increasing critical strike damage. Duration reduced to 20 seconds. Felstorm (Felguard) damage has been reduced by 20%. Immolation Aura damage has been reduced by roughly 30%. Inferno no longer increases the radius of Hellfire, but instead increases the duration of Immolate by 6 seconds in addition to its existing effect. Master Demonologist (Mastery) benefit from mastery increased by approximately 33%. Destruction Burning Embers damage has been reduced by 15%. Fiery Apocalypse (Mastery) benefit from mastery increased by approximately 8%. Improved Soul Fire now increases Fire and Shadow damage done by 4/8%, rather than 7/15% spell haste. In addition, this talent has been moved to tier-3 Destruction, switching places with Aftermath. Shadow and Flame can now proc from Incinerate in addition to Shadow Bolt. NOTE: Not as much changed on warlocks as some of the other classes. DPS Build: Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft -- Build Link! This build is for 4.0.3... not 4.0.6, but don't feel like your being limited here. Even with this being a 4.0.3 speculation of the destruction warlock. You'll see your going to get an outrageous amount of DPS! ![]() ROTATION: Demon Soul Soul Fire Bane of Doom Immolate - keep this up Conflagrate Corruption - keep this up Shadowflame Chaos Bolt Incinerate Use Fel Armor and an Imp. Couldn't find a 4.0.3+ video. My apologies. GLYPHS + ENCHANTS: Glyphs: WoW Guide: Warlock Glyphs | Ten Ton Hammer ~ Look over this site for all of your Prime, Major, and Minor Glyphs! Good luck! Enchants: Slot: Head-60 Int/35 Crit [Arcanum of Hyjal] - Guardians of Hyjal Revered Shoulders-50Int/25 haste [Greater Inscription of Charged Lodestone] - Therazane exalted Back- 50 Int [Enchant Cloak - Greater Intellect] Chest-20 stats [Enchant Chest - Peerless Stats] Wrists-65 haste [Enchant Bracer - Greater Speed] or [Enchant Bracer - Greater Critical Strike] Gloves-50 haste [Enchant Gloves - Haste] Legs-95 Int/80 Stam [Powerful Enchanted Spellthread] Boots-Run speed/35 mastery [Enchant Boots - Lavawalker] Belt-Extra socket [Ebonsteel Belt Buckle] Weapon-500 Int Proc [Enchant Weapon - Power Torrent] Offhand-100 Int [Enchant Off-Hand - Superior Intellect] STATS: Hit Rating: The hit cap for raiding is 17%. The magic number for hit is 1742. Everyone serious about raiding should be shooting to very close to this number. Int: Int gives us spell power AND Crit (~.0015% per point) AND mana. Crit: 179.28 Crit rating = 1% Crit. Haste: 128.05 haste rating gives 1% spell haste. Haste rating scales multiplicatively with other sources of haste - and haste cannot reduce the duration of the global cooldown below 1.0 second. Mastery: 179.28 mastery provides a 1.25% increase to all fire damage we do. As 90%+ of our damage comes from fire spells, mastery is not a bad stat, however, the increase per point is low enough that we will not prioritise mastery over Crit or haste until much higher gear levels. Spirit: Completely worthless. Stat Priorities: Lower Gear Levels (333-346 Pre-Raid): Int >> Hit (to cap) > Crit = Haste > Mastery Higher Gear Levels (359-372 Raid Gear): Int >> Hit (to cap) > Crit > Haste > Mastery When you are able to reach 50% haste with raid buffs, that is when haste overtakes Crit as a priority. Also, after the 50% haste threshold has been cleared, Mastery takes precedence over Haste. REFORGING: How you reforge will be based on the following rules: Are you hit capped? Yes: Reforge any extra hit to Crit where possible. No: Reforge mastery/haste to hit. Does it have Crit on it? Yes: Go to the next rule. No: Reforge mastery/haste to crit, leave hit has it is. Reforge mastery to haste if the above has been done. Again, these rules may be different depending on you actual gear setup. As mentioned above, if your are able to reach the 50% haste threshold through reforging, then doing so will be much more beneficial. GEMS: Meta: [Chaotic Shadowspirit Diamond] Red: [Brilliant Inferno Ruby] Yellow: [Potent Ember Topaz] or [Potent Ember Topaz] Blue: [Veiled Demonseye] TIPS & TRICKS: This video is actually just a little sum up of everything for a little clarification for anyone that is confused. Prevents you from having to spam questions as replies. +Rep if you want too have more guides like this one on other classes. ![]() © WoWGuideOnline.com
