Thumbs up My New Computer

No pics yet, but I have all the parts in. I'm too bogged down this week with Mid-Terms to put it together. I should be back in WoW this weekend...unless some parts are DOA. This thing will have nine 120mm fans and one 200mm fan in it!

120's: 3 in the front (intake), 2 in the rear (exhaust), 1 on the side (intake), 1 one the inside of an air duct to blow across the ram (intake), 2 on the processor's heat sink in a push/pull set up.

200: On the top of the case (exhaust).

Here's my parts list:

Antec 1200 Black Steel ATX Full Tower Case
Intel Core i5 750 Lynnfield 2.66GHz Quad-Core Processor
Asus P7P55D PRO LGA P55 Motherboard
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus Heatsink
G.Skill 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1600 Dual Channel Ram
EVGA GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 Superclocked Graphics Card (This is a RMA replacement for the one Star Trek Online burnt up.)
Sony Optiarc Black DVDR Drive
Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB 7200rpm Hard Drive
Corsair 750TX 750W Power Supply
Cooler Master 120mm Blue LED Fans (Got these to go in the case. They come in a 2 pack.)
Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound

Total Price: $889.95 (Includes shipping)

500gb gets filled up quickly. You should at minimum, add another 1 tb, since they are so cheap now.

Ya that was my plan. I also wanted to get a solid state hard drive to run Windows 7 off of. Those things are smoking fast and no moving parts!

That's a nice list:

Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound

Looks like you have a nice fast machine at a reasonable price. Nice.

If I had something that fast I would be up all night on my computer and I'd never get any sleep. As it is I need my marpac sleepmate 980a to help me drift off. I'm just too addicted to gaming, I guess, and too sensitive to ambient noise around me to ever get enough sleep. I'm hurt'n though.
