World of Warcraft Profession Guides: Feral Druid Tank Stats

This is a few things that are a must for feral druids to tank in Karazhan and heroic dungeons.
With three trains in Survival of the Fittest, the magic number for defense currently is 415. With 415 defense in bear form, you will be uncrittable by 72 elites. That means you can tank in heroics and Karazahn with no worries about getting melee critted. I tank Prince in Kara and get hit for up to 6k. Imagine if he critted me!
Likewise some basic stats to be working on: Armor should be around 22-25k in bear form, life should be at 13k or higher. With full raid buffs, I currently have 18,650 life.
Your dodge should be as high as possible. 30% is ideal. I run around 35% in bear.
If you get your bear form to 415 defense with 25k armor, 28% dodge and a mimumum of 13k life, you will be a really good feral tank for heroics and kara.
Please review my equipment list in the other thread. I have listed easily obtainable items prior to running heroics and karazhan. I will post things to look for in heroics and kara soon.
Keep in mind that for feral druids, base stats always make more impact than +bonuses. For example, 25 Strength is better than +40 AP. A feral druid will get +2 AP for each strength plus will get increased damage.
