World of Warcraft Profession Guides: Feral Druid Pre-Kara Tank Gear

I wanted to post some Feral Druid gear that is great for feral/tank druids and fairly easy to obtain. With these items or similar, you can start tanking Karazhan and heroics with confidence.
Umberhowl's Collar From the Cipher of Damnation quest line. One of the best tank items prior to epics.Manimal's Cinch From the Enraged Spirits of Air quest. I had this until I got an epic. One of the best.
Heavy Clefthoof Boots Crafted Item.
Heavy Clefthoof Leggings Crafted Item.
Heavy Clefthoof Vest Crafted Item.
Thoriumweave Cloak Drop in regular Mechanar. Awesome cloak. (I still use it)
Strength of the Untamed Cenarion Expedition Revered. Awesome neck and only replaced by epics for stats.
Stylin' Purple Hat Crafted Item. One of the best in the game for Ferals prior to epics.
Idol of the Wild From the Colossal Menace quest in Hellfire. Mangle is your primary attack in bear or cat. This is a great idol.
Iron Band of the Unbreakable This drops in normal Old Hillsbrad in Caverns of Time. I recommend running this until you get 2. I had two and it was a dramatic increase in armor.
Violet Signet You will get this once you start Karazhan and it upgrades as you progress in rep. The protector rings are what you want.
Mark of Tyranny This is an old world quest reward. One of the best in the game for tank druids prior to epics or extremely rare drops. If you already got rid of it, look for trinkets that give any combination of armor, dodge, defense and stamina.
Earthwarden This can be purchased once you reach Cenarion Expedition Exalted. This is a MUST have for all tank druids. You will use it for a VERY long time. The ONLY upgrade to this can be found in Serpent Shrine Cavern, a 25 man instance. Run Steamvaults constantly to get rep. Run PUGs, do guild runs, whatever you can. I pugged my way to exalted to get this. I still use it.
Upgrades to the equipment here can be found in heroic dungeons, purchases from the heroic badge vendor and Karazahn instances and higher. Get this gear, and you will be an extremely well geared tank.
