The Cake is Not a Lie…and other tall tales

Ok, I win the “Slacker of the Year” award, Vorya! I can’t even remember how long it’s been since I posted! LOL.

What have I been up to?….

Mirdeena, my main 80 Lock is plugging along collecting Triumph and Frost Emblems. Have all of the the Kel’Thuzad gear I’m gonna get. Just adding items here and there.

Madamedeath, my DK is 76, just levels away from being my second 80 (finally)!!!

Maarii, my Shammy is 72 now, pulling a close 3rd to the 80 realm! She’s having personality issues though, she can’t decide what spec to stick with, but leaning heavily toward Enhancement mainly, with a dual spec of Resto. She tried Elemental, was too close to Mirdeena’s casting.

Big crazy excitement yesterday was BOTH, got that, BOTH Madame and Maarii received the Delicious Chocolate Cake recipe from the cooking daily in Dalaran!!!!! OMG talk about crazy excited for this WoW addict!!!!!!!!!! Supposedly has a ridiculously low drop rate and 2 of my toons get it in the same day (although, I admittedly was a bit disappointed that my main, Mirdeena STILL doesn’t have it). SOOOO I went to try to farm for the Savory Devious Delight recipe in the barrens again thinking maybe it was my lucky day…nope, lady luck was only gonna allow 2 awesome recipes in 1 day. Oh well, will grind for it when I can, lol.

Ok, I promise to start posting again more. This is my New Year’s Resolution, I’m aiming for once a week (ok, ok, so it’s February and I’m just now getting around to it).

Happy WoW hunting :)

Mirdeena

So far so good…

Ever have one of those moments when you finally hit upon the solution to a problem but then realize it’s something you should have figured out a long time before? Yeah, so after booting up with 3.3 this week, my frame rates were terrible after just a few minutes of playing. All week I guessed at what might be wrong until one day I read somewhere about updating drivers. Poof, problem solved. *sigh*

So I haven’t had a chance to try out the new raid yet, but maybe this week I’ll find a generous pug or something. My guild is hobbling at the moment thanks to the holiday season, but we’ll be back on top by the New Year I’m sure. In the meantime, Vorya has been working on his cooking dailies, finally topped off his fishing skill and is about to try out some new specs just for kicks. At this point though, I would like to make a pitch for the random dungeon feature when used at lower levels than 80. Oh it’s great you can get those frost emblems at 80 and such, but you can also get some very nice blue pieces while leveling up by using the random feature. My little gnome warrior did RFC at 16 and came out with a blue belt with 6 sta/str on it! Good luck finding anything that good around that level. The system is also very quick which is nice after the days of sitting in a capital city spamming “lfg Stocks” or whatever only to have a million people tell you that no one wants to run those anymore, blah blah blah. The other thing I like too, is that most of the old world instances are long enough to level you once, especially if you have the rested xp available. That’s great for getting through a difficult level hump when there just aren’t many quests for you at your level.

*salute*
