So far so good…

Ever have one of those moments when you finally hit upon the solution to a problem but then realize it’s something you should have figured out a long time before? Yeah, so after booting up with 3.3 this week, my frame rates were terrible after just a few minutes of playing. All week I guessed at what might be wrong until one day I read somewhere about updating drivers. Poof, problem solved. *sigh*

So I haven’t had a chance to try out the new raid yet, but maybe this week I’ll find a generous pug or something. My guild is hobbling at the moment thanks to the holiday season, but we’ll be back on top by the New Year I’m sure. In the meantime, Vorya has been working on his cooking dailies, finally topped off his fishing skill and is about to try out some new specs just for kicks. At this point though, I would like to make a pitch for the random dungeon feature when used at lower levels than 80. Oh it’s great you can get those frost emblems at 80 and such, but you can also get some very nice blue pieces while leveling up by using the random feature. My little gnome warrior did RFC at 16 and came out with a blue belt with 6 sta/str on it! Good luck finding anything that good around that level. The system is also very quick which is nice after the days of sitting in a capital city spamming “lfg Stocks” or whatever only to have a million people tell you that no one wants to run those anymore, blah blah blah. The other thing I like too, is that most of the old world instances are long enough to level you once, especially if you have the rested xp available. That’s great for getting through a difficult level hump when there just aren’t many quests for you at your level.

*salute*

Good to know about the LFG at lower levels being well worth it. I started the new chain of quests in Icecrown last night and we used the LFG to find a healer. It was super quick, especially since it pulls from other realms too. One thing to note though, you cannot trade things between toons on different realms. The healer who came forgot to buy something for mana, and I couldn’t trade what I had to him. :( But it was great for completing our group. Plus I got an upgrade on my weapon :) I haven’t tried the random thing yet, but am looking forward to giving it a shot.

I don’t know if you guys know this or not, but you can teleport out of an instance and repair or buy supplies and then teleport back in.

Just right click on the little LFG icon next to your mini map. A little menu will pop up for you to “Teleport Out of Dungeon.” When you’re ready to come back just do the same thing again and select “Teleport to Dungeon.”

:) Very cool, I did not know that! Thanks!
