Hit Rating Cap For All Classes

hunter_hit_cap

There are a lot of places that show what Hit Caps and other skills should be for level 80’s in a raid, but they write it in such a way that it becomes so confusing. This is a simple list of what you should have. Is it in depth and exact? No. It’s meant to give you a simple number to aim for, which is what most players want to know. There are variables that may raise or lower these numbers, but they are simply a standard to work towards. If you achieve the numbers for your class listed here, you will have no problems.

Death Knight:

Hit Rating Cap: 263 (8%) with 3 talent points in Nerves of Cold Steel.

Druid:

Feral: 263 (8%)

Boomkin: 263 with 3 talent points in Improved Faerie Fire.

Hunter:

Hit Rating Cap: 263 (8%)
If you have 3 points in Focus Aim, you only need 165.

Mage:

Hit Rating Cap: 240 (9.15%) with 3 talent points in Arcane Focus.

Paladin:

Retribution: 263 (8%)

Priest:

Shadow: 289 (8%) with 3 talent points in Shadow Focus and 3 talent points in Misery.

Rogue:

Hit Rating Cap: 263 with 5 talent points in Precision.

Shaman:

Hit Rating Cap:

Elemental: 297 (11.32%) This includes 3 talent points in Elemental Precision.

Enhancement: 341 (14%)

Warlock:

Hit Rating: 368 (14%) this is with 3 talent points in Suppression.

Warrior:

Hit Rating Cap:

Arms: 262.32 (8%)

Fury: 262.32 (8%) The same as Arms, however there is a cheap method with talents.
Put 3 talent points into Precision and you only need 163.95.

Finally a super easy way to know this info, I have looked for it before and truly am confused by a lot of the overwhelming info out there. Thanks Tham!

Well cone i like what you have done keep up the great work and i have past on your website to the of my m8s and guild members thanks again

It is possible to get higher then 263 hit rating I got 267 and thats 8.17% it depends on your armor and the gems and enchants you use on them.

Thanks dude. Finaly found a god answer . Great work there ! // GiBB

@sunndendoom you can have 400% hit rating if you want, the cap is the point where having more is useless, stats above are so you won’t miss on raid bosses

With the new patch out, boomkins don’t put points in iff anymore, so would you happen to know what it would be without iff, or is it maybe the same? And thank you for posting clear info, much appreciated. :)

This hit rating cap is for PvP or PvE? WoWWiki says that versus bosses the DW Melee cap is 831 (27%+), you can see it here:
